After a first-stage approval (AIP) and biometrics given the previous Friday, the final study permit decision was issued on November 16.
The client was admitted to Vancouver Community College, which the write-up noted is on the DLI list.
The write-up described VCC as a two-year public college in central Vancouver with three campuses (Broadway, Downtown and Annacis Island) and about 22,000 students, offering diplomas, certificates and transfer routes to four-year universities. It stated entry requirements of around IELTS 4.5 to 5.5 overall, with conditional admission available for applicants without an English score.
It also stated that graduates can apply for a three-year post-graduation work permit, that the graduate employment rate is over 90 percent, and that the Early Childhood Care and Education diploma had two seats, with that year being the first time VCC accepted international students into it.
