The Korean write-up reported a case in which a Saskatchewan early childhood educator certificate was issued at Level 3, described in the post as the highest level for childcare teachers in Canada.
The post said the conversion process is complex but can be done without prior early childhood teaching experience in Korea and without having majored in early childhood education. The level granted depends on the courses the applicant has completed and on the region, and some regions do not require an English test score.
It noted that Level 3 raises the base hourly wage for an early childhood educator and opens the option of taking Montessori training and working at a Montessori daycare. Holding the certificate before arrival means being able to start work as a childcare teacher on entering Canada.
The write-up said applicants short on credits can fill the gap using the firm's credit-bank course list, and advised allowing about five months for the conversion when planning a departure date.
